High School Ministry

Our High School Ministry programs are for students in 7th - 12th grades.  The purpose of our high school ministries is to help bring teens deeper into their relationship with Jesus Christ through worship, the study of God's Word, fellowship activities, and service.  This is accomplished in two main ways.

.

Confirmation Instruction:

Confirmation instruction is two years of instruction on the basics of the Christian faith.  Before being able to join the rest of the congregation at the Lord's Table for Holy Commion, a young person is asked to complete confirmation.  This is so that the young Christian will know what the church believes and teaches.

Traditionally, confirmation instruction is offered to students in 7th and 8th grade.  However, if you are older and have not been confirmed, we would invite you to join us to learn more about the basic teachings of the Bible.  Following this instruction, the student is invited to confess (or confirm) that they are a Christian in front of the rest of the congregation.  Following this confirmation of faith, the student is welcomed as a member of the congregation and is invited to join the rest of our church family at the Lord's Supper.

Youth Group

Our youth group meets every other Sunday evening and is for teens in grades 7-12.  Youth group gatherings generally begin with a brief Bible study/devotion and then continue with a special activity.  This is also a time to plan special events and service projects.  Youth group is open to anyone in grades 7-12.  Time for youth group varies based on what the group is doing that week.  Call the church office at 631-3000 for more information.

Special Activities

Throughout the year, our youth also participate in special trips, lock-ins, servant events, and other special activities in addition to our regular youth group gatherings.  Check out the "News" page on this website for the most current list of upcoming activities and times.
